The semester plan offers our best value. Students who enroll for our 18-week semesters are only billed for 16 lessons. The fall semester begins in September and the spring semester in February. Our semester schedule follows the local public school calendar in regards to holidays and snow days. Students on the semester plan receive first choice on lesson times and a guaranteed spot. Most of our prime lesson time slots (Monday to Friday from 4-8pm and Saturday from 10am-1pm) are reserved for our semester students.
Payment Information
All lessons must be paid for in advance of an appointment. If you prefer to pay for your lessons week to week you will be billed at the single lesson rates.
Continuing/semester students agree to keep their account balance up to date at all times. If your account balance falls behind you may lose your time slot with the teacher until the balance due is resolved.
Semester Tuition Payment Plans
You can pay the entire tuition in advance or if you prefer we can split the tuition into two or four payments. Students on the semester plan agree to pay the full tuition for the entire semester. The only early cancellation of this plan allowed is if the student is physically unable to continue playing their instrument and/or attend their lesson due to an extended illness or injury.
Due dates for semester payment plans:
| 1 payment |
due by opening day/first lesson of the semester |
| 2 payments |
initial payment due by opening day of the semester final payment due sixty days after the semester begins |
| 4 payments |
one payment each month for the first four months of the semester |
Invoices and Balance Statements
Invoices will be e-mailed to students/parents following each lesson. Invoices only indicate the amount charged and the amount paid for that particular lesson. Teacher lesson notes and assignments are also included for the benefit of the students/parents.
Balance Statements will be e-mailed once a month to all students and/or parents. These statements indicate ALL lessons taken, payments made and the remaining balance on account.
Cancellation Policies
All students must agree to pay for any and all booked appointments regardless of their attendance at the appointment.
Teacher absence - Students will never be billed for a teacher absence. The teacher can either schedule a make-up lesson or you will receive a credit for that lesson. Teachers are responsible for notifying students directly in the event of a scheduling conflict.
Student absence – We understand that on occasion, students will have a conflict with their booked appointment. Students must also understand that our teachers have to be paid for the time that they are here each day. Therefore student absences with less than 24 hours advance notice will be billed in full. In the event of a student cancellation, the lesson may be rescheduled at the sole discretion of the teacher. If you know you have a conflict coming up (vacation, etc.) let your teacher know in advance and they will be able to help you reschedule.
Please contact your teacher directly by phone and/or email in the event of a lesson cancellation or scheduling conflict. It is the quickest and most efficient way to resolve scheduling conflicts. Do not call the Bradford School of Music office for lesson cancellations or scheduling conflicts because your teacher may not get the message in time.
Please keep your teacher’s contact information on file.
